This Privacy Policy explains how Crowe's Nest ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Nest Display digital signage service, including our website, dashboard, and player applications for TV, streaming devices, and other displays (together, the "Service").

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Who we are

Information we collect

We only collect the information needed to provide the Service:

• Account details. When you create an account, we collect your organization name, email address, and password. Passwords are stored securely in an encrypted (hashed) form and are never visible to us.
• Screen and device information. When you pair a display (such as a TV, streaming stick, or media player) we collect basic technical details about that device, including the device type, screen resolution, a short browser identifier, a pairing code, and "last seen" timestamps used to show whether a screen is online.
• Content you upload. Images, videos, web links, text, and other signage content you add to the Service are stored so we can display them on your screens.
• Billing information. We keep a record of your subscription status and the number of screens on your account. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card details.
• Technical logs. Like most online services, our servers automatically record limited technical information such as IP address and request times to keep the Service secure and reliable.

We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers, we do not run advertising, and we do not collect personal information about the members of the public who view content shown on your screens.

How we use information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To deliver your content to your paired screens and keep them in sync.
• To show the status of your screens and let you manage them.
• To process subscriptions and payments through our payment provider.
• To keep the Service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
• To respond to your support requests and contact you about your account.

Information stored on your devices

To keep your screens playing even when the internet connection drops, the player app saves a screen identifier and a cached copy of your assigned content locally on that device. This information stays on the device and is used only to display your content.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who help us operate the Service, and only as needed:

• Hosting and database provider (Supabase). Stores your account data, content, and screen information securely on our behalf.
• Payment processor (Stripe). Handles subscription billing and card payments. Your card details are provided directly to Stripe and are governed by Stripe's own privacy policy.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we will remove your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we are required to keep certain records (for example, for tax or legal reasons).

Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections, secure password storage, and access controls that limit data to your own account. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

Your rights and choices

You can review and update your account information at any time from within the dashboard. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Children's privacy

The Service is a business tool intended for use by organizations and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

International users

Your information may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. Where this happens, we take steps to ensure your information continues to be protected in line with this policy and applicable law.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
